From aircraft engineering to building softwareمن هندسة الطائرات إلى بناء البرمجيات
My journey did not start with code. I trained as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Hindustan Aviation Academy in Bengaluru, then worked as an Aircraft Technician at Jet Airways and as an Aircraft Quality Technician with Goodrich in Dubai. Aviation taught me discipline: every task on time, every detail checked, and no room for "almost".
Then I moved into hospitality and food & beverage. I managed a restaurant in Malaysia, became Operations Manager for JuiceWorld in Jeddah, and since 2017 I have been Regional Manager for JuiceWorld in Muscat, running a multi-outlet network — teams, financial controls, new menu launches and the daily numbers. Along the way I also completed my BBA.
More than ten years on the shop floor showed me the real problems every business owner lives with: billing at the counter, who came to work today, stock that does not match, salaries, and branches you cannot see from one place. I used POS and ERP systems every day — and saw where they failed the people using them.
So I started building my own. In December 2024 I co-founded SHABAB INFOTECH in Muscat with my partner Sajeeb Punathi, and I designed and developed the SHABAB software suite myself — HR and payroll, time attendance, point of sale for restaurants, supermarkets and perfume shops, van sales, travel agency software, a prayer-times app for masjids, chat, remote support, our own browser, a PDF editor, an AI assistant, and the SHABAB CLOUD that runs it all.
Every product starts from a real problem I have seen on the ground. My rule is simple: if a shop manager cannot use it in five minutes, it is not finished.
لم تبدأ رحلتي بالبرمجة. درست هندسة صيانة الطائرات في أكاديمية هندوستان للطيران في بنغالور، ثم عملت فني طائرات في جت إيرويز، وفني جودة طائرات لدى شركة غودريتش في دبي. علّمني الطيران الانضباط: كل مهمة في وقتها، وكل تفصيل يُراجَع، ولا مكان لكلمة «تقريباً».
بعد ذلك انتقلت إلى قطاع الضيافة والأغذية والمشروبات. أدرت مطعماً في ماليزيا، ثم أصبحت مدير العمليات لدى «جوس وورلد» في جدة، ومنذ عام 2017 أعمل مديراً إقليمياً لـ«جوس وورلد» في مسقط، أدير شبكة من الفروع — الفرق، والرقابة المالية، وإطلاق القوائم الجديدة، والأرقام اليومية. وخلال ذلك أكملت أيضاً درجة البكالوريوس في إدارة الأعمال.
أكثر من عشر سنوات في الميدان أظهرت لي المشاكل الحقيقية التي يعيشها كل صاحب عمل: الفوترة عند الكاشير، من حضر إلى العمل اليوم، المخزون الذي لا يطابق، الرواتب، والفروع التي لا يمكنك رؤيتها من مكان واحد. استخدمت أنظمة نقاط البيع وتخطيط الموارد كل يوم — ورأيت أين تخذل من يستخدمها.
فبدأت أبني برامجي بنفسي. في ديسمبر 2024 أسست شركة شباب إنفوتك في مسقط مع شريكي سجيب بوناثي، وصممت وطوّرت بنفسي مجموعة برامج شباب — الموارد البشرية والرواتب، الحضور والانصراف، نقاط البيع للمطاعم والسوبرماركت ومحلات العطور، المبيعات المتنقلة، برنامج وكالات السفر، تطبيق مواقيت الصلاة للمساجد، المحادثة، الدعم عن بُعد، متصفحنا الخاص، محرر PDF، مساعد ذكاء اصطناعي، وسحابة شباب التي تشغّل كل ذلك.
كل منتج يبدأ من مشكلة حقيقية رأيتها في الميدان. وقاعدتي بسيطة: إذا لم يستطع مدير المحل استخدامه خلال خمس دقائق، فهو لم يكتمل بعد.
